Father - Daughter Trip
Summer 2024
For the first time, Egypt selected our destination by herself. She wanted to visit the Outer Banks (OBX) of North & South Carolina after following the adventures of the Kooks and Pogues from one of her favorite TV shows, the Outer Banks. While our trip was cut short due to weather, Tropical Storm Debby, we still managed to check off the main boxes- beach photo shoots and seeing some of the filming locations.

When the orders were given to evacuate Charleston, we cut our trip a little short. Normally, we might have stayed to experience the storm, but the airport was closing and we had to get back on time for Egypt's first day of 10th grade. We had to change our flight and ended up getting a non-stop out of Nashville. There was a lot of slow traffic to get out of South Carolina. I ended up taking the scenic route through Great Smoky Mountains National Park. I was hoping for a hike and some scenic pictures, but Egypt was sound asleep.
